You can’t view our blog, or (probably) most of our posts with safe mode on. Tumblr recently forced it to switch to ON, so you need to go into settings here and turn it off.

@anon, if you want us to answer that question you’ll have to either message us off anon, or email us at [email protected] It’s not something we think is appropriate to talk about in “public” ^^’

Good day! Thank you for those great works! So im starting my tumblr blog which is dedicated to manga translation, and im really confused with how to make a manga-tumblr-blog like yours! I mean, could you please show me how to :1. Create a individual tumblr page like this of yours [entwinedtrees,tumblr,com/i33] 2. How to post multiple images at once? AND 3. How to have the comment section powered by disqus? I know this is too much but i really want my blog to be like yours!Thanks so much!

Hi! Happy to hear you like our reader!

I was into tumblr theme making years ago, so I coded our reader from scratch. It’s kinda rly messily done because it was just a day I needed smt to dedicate an hour or two to coughs lazy so it’s not advanced coding or anything. I’ve been too lazy preoccupied to update it into anything fancier since then…

Creating a page isn’t much different to a tumblr theme! One sample base code for pages is this:

<html xmlns=“http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml” xml:lang=“en” lang=“en”>
<head>
<link rel=“shortcut icon” href=“{Favicon}”>
CSS here
</head>
<body>
HTML here
</body>
</html>

You just input whatever html and css u need to make a reader. In my case I just slapped on some titles and links and hella lotsa IMG html for the images. This may not make any sense if ur not familiar w html tho so… Look up lotsa “html tumblr theme guide”s, they’re all over tumblr if you google a bit! I’m afraid I don’t really know what else I can do for you… But it is possible to make a reader out of very basic beginner-y html coding ^^ Disqus codes are on their site!

If you give up on HTML then there is a site called mangadex that’s basically an online reader site scanlators use. You have less control but it’s better than nothing… There’s also uploading the chap as a PDF on google drive that works fine as a reader~

Using our online reader on mobile

So we haven’t made a post here yet, but not too long ago our blog was flagged as not sfw since we tend to warn for that content on our releases. This means you can’t view our blog unless you’re logged in.

Since most people aren’t logged into tumblr on their phone browser, that means clicking on our reader links will lead you to a tumblr error page. To fix this, simply:

  1. Make sure you’re not in incognito mode.
  2. Click the reader link & get to the error page.
  3. Open a new tab in the same browser, go to tumblr.com and log in.
  4. Return to the error tab and refresh it.

This should allow you to see the page, and you should only have to do this once. At least for iphones & safari, the browser will remember you logging into tumblr and save it for future reader links (might reset if you restart your phone tho). I hope this helps~

First of all thank you for picking up not one but two hajakawa nojiko works! Her style and paneling is gorgeous, I love her so much. I’ve been following your work since you started scanlating umibe no/harukaze no etranger. I think you guys are one of the best scanlations groups out there and I’m happy that you did pick them up. I would literally build a shrine in your honor if you guys also pick up endou-kun no jikken note. I really hope you do. thank you so much again!

Thank you for the kind words! We love her too!! **

There’s no plans to pick up Endou at this moment, we don’t have the time for it. But since it’s one of her most popular series I’m sure it’ll be picked up by someone in no time ^^

ahhhh i’m so happy about you guys taking up another nojiko, but i was wondering (it may sound dumb, so forgive me) how many not translated yet chapters are out there? i didn’t understand if 2.5 is the number of ch out of the series in general or just the not translated yet chapters. thanks so much! (btw, would you happen to know if suna wo kizamu hari is on hiatus? i love sensei but there are too many series she’s left me hanging on)

2.5 total, so 1 chapter is untranslated so far ^^ We don’t buy that magazine so we can’t say… Most of her series seem “slow” updating though, from 6 months to a year or two. Buying it’s magazines is a great way to show support.

Our header is an illustration by Kii Kanna, who’s mangas we translate over at Stranger by the Sea scans 🙂 It’s an illustration she did for the series we translate here, Itoshi no Nekokke, which you can find here (follow links for previous chaps).

Our icon is from the manga Kurayami ni Strobe ^^ You can download that here, or buy it here.

Hello! It was our pleasure. We love Nojiko.
I think there’s about 12-13 chapters out in Japan right now but there’s no word of a tankobon release but hopefully they’ll announce one soon!
